Creatine 101: What It Is and What It Actually Does
Creatine is useful because it supports a specific energy system - not because it performs miracles. Here is the real explanation without the gym-bro fog.
What is creatine?
Creatine is a compound your body makes and stores mostly in muscle. You also get smaller amounts from foods such as meat and fish. Inside muscle, creatine helps replenish a rapid energy source used during short, intense efforts.
